Record Control defines the parameters for synchronizing the start and end of a run with the tool operation. For example, Analog 2 might be the analog channel used for an IR20 (measures the degas lamp output) on a degas chamber. This channel would be assigned to the channel for the RGA installed on this chamber. If required, a time delay after the defined condition can be used. The Record stop is similar to the Record start in that a signal is chosen, a threshold, and a time overshoot is available. A max time setting for the run is also included. By synchronizing the operation of the RGA with the operation of the tool, the data collected becomes much more meaningful.
